WebJan 10, 2016 · The general idea is that there's only 1 winner in Hearts, and you are not a winner if you come in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. People who subscribe to this rule get very frustrated at the ones who think they are "winning" by piling points on the person with the highest score. It doesn't seem like much of a game if your chances of winning are 3 in 4.
